My background is design in many forms!  I started off in textiles as a designer of high quality woven cashmere, silk and wool fabrics for Ballantynes and luxury cashmere intarsia knitwear for Gladstone of Hawick (sold in Liberty of London). This was followed by a move to high end furnishing fabrics in British Replin, Ayr where my designs included Concorde and the Orient Express. After this came a period in mainly graphic design which covered a wide range including whisky labels, logos, celebration watercolours and extensive design work for the Secret Forest and Playbarn at Kelburn Country Centre.  Since then I have developed my skills to include photography and find that the design and photographic combination works well. So…… here I am now.

Ikat photography is based in Largs, Ayrshire and provides creative, commercial photography covering everything from food and furniture to people and places.  Ikat images can be seen on websites, print and press.  I will photography virtually anything apart from weddings!
